      HORRINGER CEREMONY
The wedding took place on Saturday at St. Leonard's Church, Horringer, of Mr James Pettitt, youngest surviving son of Mr. E. and the late Mrs. Pettitt, of Great Livermere, and formerly Timworth, and Miss Alice Edith Nunn, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J.Nunn, of Sharp's Lane, Horringer.
The bride, given away by her father, was attired in a blue georgette dress, ankle length, with a picture hat to match, and carried a bouquet of white lilies and carnations, which was afterwards placed on the grave of the bridegroom's mother.
She was attended by two bridesmaids, the Misses Lily and Queenie Nunn (sisters of the bride), who wore brick red dresses of marocain, with silver leaves round their heads; they carried bouquets of blue irises and white carnations, which were afterwards placed on the graves of their brother and grandfather.
Mr Fred Pettitt (brother of the bridegroom) was best man.
The Rev. Lord Manners Hervey officiated at the ceremony, after which a reception was held at the bride's home.
The wedding cake was made and given by Mrs. T.Whitmore (Bury St. Edmunds), the bride's late employer.
About 200 wedding presents were received.
The bride and bridegroom, who are well-known locally, left later in the day for their future home in Culford Heath.
