Parents: James Silver, carter, deceased and Margaret Silver M.S.Steven (Stephen), deceased. Cause: drowning. Informant D.B.Greig, brother-in-law 27 Allardice St, Stonehaven.

      Age and sex: Jane Silver, housekeeper, unmarried, 43 years female
      When and where died: Went missing from Springfield Cottage, Bothwell, on 5 of 6 October 1883 and body found in Clyde opposite Berth 45 southside of the Harbour Glastone on 30th January 1884. Cause of death: Drowing either accidental or suicidal. Dr Hardie, police surgeon, made an external examination of body.
