    • WEDDING BELLS
      COKER-SLEAFORD
At St Mary's Church of England, Mount Morgan, on August 30, at 1.30 p.m., the marriage was celebrated of Lilian Jane, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs R. A. Sleaford, Walterhall, to Charles Cyril, younget son of Mrs H. Coker, Kabra, and the late Mr H. Coker.
Canon Wight performed the ceremony and Mrs A.Findelator played the Wedding March. The bride, who was given away by her brother. Mr J. E. Sleaford, looked charming in her bridal gown of silver lame, made with a sweetheart neck-line and fully flared floor-length skirt, the waistline being finished wtib a spray of silver flowers.
Her cut tulle veil mounted with orchids was lent by Mrs W. Mathieson, and she carried a sheaf of lilies tied with white satin ribbon. For "something old and borrowed," the bride wore a true lovers knot brooch belonging to her mother and a cross and chain lent by a friend.
The bride was attended by her only sister, Mrs W.F. Coker, as matron of honour, who wore a gold brocaded satin frock made of similar lines as the bride's gown. She wore a matching gold straw picture hat trimmed with velvet ribbon and flowers, and she carried a bouquet of mixed flowers tied with matching ribbon.
Mr Leslie Robson, Rockhampton, was best man. After the ceremony the reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. Canon Wight presided at the breakfast and pride of place was given a four-tiered wedding cake made by the bride's sister. Mr and Mrs Coker left later by car for Yeppoon, where they will reside.
