  Married: Bury Free Press 07 September 1935, p14 WESTLEY. An interesting wedding took place at St Mary's Church on Saturday week, the contracting parties being Mr Alfred Frederick James Orriss, the third son of Mr and Mrs A.Orriss, Brooke's Corner, Chevington, and Miss Ruth Irene Wright, of Westley. The ceremony was conducted by the Rector (the Rev. L.G.Edwards). NOTE: Other details given as well including that Alfred's sister, Joan, was a bridesmaid, and that his brother (step-brother), Reg Orriss was best man.
