  Married: Nottingham Journal 04 July 1938, p5: Dobbs-Farmer At Beeston Parish Church on Saturday, Mr George William Dobbs, second son of Inspector F.Dobbs, of the Beeston section County Police, and Mrs Dobbs, was married to Miss Dorothy Ellen Farmer, daughter of Mr and Mrs A.E.Farmer, of Wallet-avenue, Beeston. The marriage service was conducted by the Rev. F.A.Addison, M.A., of Beeston Parish Church. Mr Harry Dobbs, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.
