THE Albert Street Methodist Church, Brisbane, was the scene of the marriage of Miss Elva Jane Aldridge, of Beaudesert, and Mr. Gregory Small of East Brisbane. The bride is the younger daughter of Mr. and Mr. J. Aldridge.
The bride wore a gown of all over lace over satin, the bodice featuring a high neck, yoke of georgette appliqued with lace, and short sleeves. The full skirt fell into a short train. The veil was of tulle, appliqued with satin lilies and held in position with sprigs of orange blossom. Her bouquet was of eucharist lilies, tuberoses and frangipani, and she wore her grandmother's century-old gold brooch.
She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Len Yates, as matron of honour, and Mr. Colin Spilsbury was best man. The couple sailed for Sydney and Melbourne in the Ormiston after the reception.
